How did you get that custom avatar, the picture that shows you in the User Info block and in the forums? Can anyone have one or is it just for you? I like it better than the ones offered here

It is a two step process. First, find a picture that you like and plan on using. You will probably not use the whole picture just a part of it, like I did. You will need to use a graphics program to "select" only the portion that you want. Irfanview is a free program. After you have the picture that you want to use for your avatar, you will need to select it as your avatar, and upload it. These two steps are done at one time. This is for registered members only. This is how: Click on the Your Account link under Members Options in the Main Menu (to the left). This will open a new box "My Account Options" in the top left corner of the page. Then click on My avatar under the Personal heading. From here you can use one of the pics offered already or you can upload your own. Upload the pic that you made and it will display!
There is a 6 KB size limitation on the file. The file must not be any larger than that. The ".gif" format will make the picture the smallest. Again, I will be glad to help anyone out if they will send me the picture that they want.
