There is now a online Calendar available for use. It may be viewed by all visitors but you must be a registered member (and logged in) to post an event in the calendar. This has the availability to be a huge asset to all visitors of this site. In making a online calendar for the whole state, it is possible that it would be confusing for everyone to view all season opening and closing dates for the whole state. There are a lot of opening and closing dates and this would clutter the calendar view, so, in the future, possibly, we will add "Group" capabilities to this site. In case you are wondering, what would this do? In creating content for this site, whether it be News, Announcements, Stories, Calendar Events, etc., it can be assigned to a group and will be viewable to only those who join this group. This way a person in the eastern deer season will only view the events for his area and the same for a person in another region of the state.

NCWildlife.info now has registered members from across the state, and beyond. We would like for this website to benefit everyone in some way. This calendar is another step in this direction. Not all events will be viewable to non-registered members. To view all events would cluster the calendar, so in an effort to control the events viewable to your specific location, we encourage you to join a group, as this controls events tailored to your locale.
