New Website Additions

There have been several new improvements and additions to our North Carolina Wildlife website. We have added Chat Rooms, and a syndicated (RSS) news feed. These new additions can be accessed with the links in the Main Menu on the top left side of this page. Enjoy them.

Chat Rooms are here. These chat rooms do not utilize the Internet Relay Chat (IRC) network as the IRC network is a system hog to the web server. These chat rooms are database driven utilizing PHP scripting code. This system takes much less resources and function very well. Once registered, you can enter the North Carolina Wildlife chat room or even create a private chat room, if you like.

RSS (Really Simple Syndication) newsfeeds are here. With one click, you can currently get news stories from three sources at once. If you have a suggestion for an additional source, let us know. Please be patient while the page loads. It takes about 10-15 seconds to create the page for distribution to your computer.
