This would not be an outright ban, but definitely a step in the right direction.

This should be an outright ban! I own several acres of property that are posted as "NO HUNTING/NO TRESPASSING" in a very obvious manner. I repeatedly have to chase hunters off my property and have had several of my own hunts spoiled by dog hunters who give no discretion to violating my private property rights. The mentallity that many of these hunters has is rather ignorant and they truly believe that they have a right to hunt on my property and see nothing wrong with running their dogs through my land. This is a safety issue for me as well due to the negligence with which these people use their firearms. I have heard running gun battles in downtown Baghdad, Iraq that sounded more controlled.
